Seravalle Outlet
In Sera Valle there is a large outlet area of approximately 120 stores that sell the most famous Italian brands at a great price. A very popular excursion, expect a full day in the outlet area.
Parque Naturale Capanne di Marcarolo
This large park is a nice destination if you want to experience nature and walking. The landscape is beautiful and varied and there are several hiking trails of different lengths. One challenge is to hike up Monte Tobbio (1092 m), which hosts an ancient monestary at the top.
Gavi
Among the vineyards and beautiful hilly terrain lies the medieval town of Gavi. Here you'll find, among other things, a large medieval castle. Historically, the city has been an important base for trade with Genoa. Gavi is a center for the production of the good white wine Cortese di Gavi.
Cinque Terre
The Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Cinque Terre is about an hours drive from Villa Val Leme.
Aqui Terme
The city is one of the most visited in the province. Health Baden in Acqui Terme is well known and very popular. Founded by the Romans it was a trading center and resort. In Acqui Terme there are several very good restaurants that offer various local specialties.
Casale Monferrato
A city with rich history and culture. For decades, Casale region's political and military center. In the old parts of the city's medieval buildings and streets of the Renaissance. Each month, held a highly prized antique auction. In Casale are several outlets for the region's famous vineyards, fi. Barbera, Grignolino and Barbaresco.
Swimming in the Mediterranean
The mediterranean coast is located about 30-40 minutes drive from the castle. There are several nice beaches to go to.
Novi Ligure
The old town of Novi Ligure is elegant and very well preserved. Many of the buildings have the original paintings from the Middle Ages.
Castelletto d'Orba
At Orbafloden is Castelletto d'Orba, a small town dating back to medieval times. D'Orba has become a popular destination for food and wine lovers. The spectacular castle Silvano d'Orba is from 1490.
Ovada
The city was founded in the 900s. The town has several fine buildings survive from the Middle Ages. In Ovada you'll find. extensive furniture manufacturing. In Ovada, it is also advantageous to buy fine wines from local wineries, fi. Dolcetto and Barbera.
Tortona
Surrounded by hills dotted with vineyards is Tortona. In recent years, the city's economy has grown strongly, but there are still many old buildings from the Middle Ages
Voltaggio
At the foot of the beautiful Capanne di Marcarolo lies the town of Volataggio. The city was in the 1600s a summer resort for wealthy city dwellers. For those who are interested in art there's a fine collection of 1500-1700-century paintings by artists from Genoa and vicinity.
Turin, Milan and Genoa
These three cities are all within about 1 hour's drive from Villa Val Lemme. Football in Italy is an experience. The matches in Milan often go on Sunday afternoons. Monza is located between Milan and Bergamo, and is also worth a detour.
